In line with Edo state governor's directive that every last Saturday of every month should be observed as environmental sanitation day across the state, from the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m, today, Saturday the 31st of May 2025, this month's sanitation exercise was observed in Esan Central local government area, as the chairman of the local government area, Rt. Esan Central LG Boss Inspects Ongoing Projects In LG Today, Saturday, May 24th 2025, the Chairman, Esan Central Local Government, ECLG, area, Rt. Hon. Kelvin Ainiyalenhimi Iyere, went on an inspection tour of the electricification projects, in Udowo and Eidenu, and the Health Centre remodeling project in Eidenu, as well as the planned school remodeling project in Opoji, of wards 4 and 9 respectively of the local government area. The electricification project in Ward 4, Udowo and Eidenu is occasioned by the dilapidated and fallen of the wooden poles and electricity cables; hence the ongoing project of the replacement of the wooden poles with the concrete poles. The Chairman also visited Opoji to inspect Eguare Primary school, in anticipation of its remodeling. Operation ‘Clean Up Esan Central’, Continues  As part of the ‘operation cleanup exercise’ in Esan Central Local Government area, as declared by the Chairman of the local government area, right honourable Kelvin Ainiyelenhimi Iyere and the environmental units of the local government area, were in Ewu market on Friday, 16th May 2025, to clean up the markets and also evacuate the accumulated refuse in the market.  After the cleanup of the refuse in the market, they proceeded to Irrua market where refuse has also been accumulated, despite the fact that it was recently cleared on Saturday, 26th of  April.
