Mary J Empowerment Foundation Pays Courtesy Visit To Chairman, Edo state TMB
...congratulates him on appointment
The leadership of Mary J Empowerment Foundation, today Thursday 22nd May 2025, paid a courtesy visits to High Chief Dr. Abudu Ugbesia, JP, the Chairman, Edo state Traditional Medicine Board, TMB, in his office to congratulate him on his appointment as the Chairman, Edo state Traditional Medicines Board.
Speaking, the the President of the Foundation, Lady Mary Okojie, said; "...before now, we should have come to congratulate you on your appointment as the Chairman, Edo state Traditional Medicines Board, but we decided to wait for you to settle down to work".
"...in the past couple of months of your activities we have been hearing of the impacts you are making. We thank our governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo for appointing you as the Chairman of this Board, as a square peg in a square hole".
Lady Mary Okojie, also used the opportunity to formally talk about what Mary J Foundation is all about, saying; "...our Foundation is focused on taking care of the girl child, the urphans and the widows, and we do this within the resources at our disposal. We have been doing everything we can, to bring succur to these categories of people".
The President, who thanked the Chairman, Edo state Traditional Medicines Board for giving them audience and warmly welcoming them, concluded by praying for the continuous success of the Chairman of the Board in the discharge of his duties.
In his response, the Chairman, Edo state Traditional Medicines Board, High Chief Ugbesia, expressed his profound appreciation to the members of the Foundation for their love and support for the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the last 2024 Edo state governorship election. He thanked his August visitors for taking time to visit him, saying; "...your labour of love for the APC in supporting the success of Senator Monday Okpebholo in the last election, shall not be in vain.
Members of the Foundation that were present, include; the Vice President, Mrs Ruth Odiase, the Secretary, Beauty David and Treasurer, Ruth Akhigbe. Others include; Maria Ogenete, Paulina Okhiria, Christiana Ebuade, Christy Oriaifo, Tina Oriaifo, Tessy Osagie, Comfort David and Julie Amadasun.
Also Present with the Chairman, Edo state Traditional Medicines Board, were High Chief Ogbomo, Hon. Elvis Usifo, Hon. Christopher Abhulimen, and a couple of staff of Edo state Traditional Medicines Board.
