Ojiemudiaimen of Irrua Kingdom, Conferred on Omotor of Oghara Kingdom

Double Chief Henry Okodogbe, the Omotor of Oghara Kingdom, was on Saturday 14th October 2023, conferred with the chieftaincy title of 'OJIEMUDIAIMEN of Irrua Kingdom' at the palace of the Ogirrua of Irrua Kingdom and the Okaijesan of Esanland, Alhaji W. O Momodu II, JP, CON.

After he was turbaned by a team of High Chiefs, including the Osara of Irrua Kingdom, double Chief Okodogbe was escorted to the Okaijesan Palace and presented to the Ogirrua of Irrua and the Okaijesan of Esanland for the pronouncement of the title: OJIEMUDIAIMEN OF IRRUA KINGDOM on him.

While making the pronouncement, the Okaijesan of Esanland said; '... you are being conferred with this title today, because of your good deeds to people. We are not in doubt that, within your ability and means, you have positively affected the lives of a number of people around you, please continue to be good...'

Continuing, the Okaijesan said; '...the fact that you were conferred with a title in Delta state, a place where you once served as a Naval officer, is a testimony to the fact that, you are a good ambassador of Irrua Kingdom...'

Speaking with a team of Journalists at his country home, in Agua-Irrua, Esan Central Local Government Area of Edo state, double Chief Henry Okodogbe, the OMOTOR I of Oghara Kingdom and now, the Ojiemudiaimen of Irrua Kingdom, said; '...first of all, I thank God for everything. I thank God for the recognition that is being accorded to me, by my royal father, Alhaji W.O Momodu II, JP, CON, the Ogirrua of Irrua and the Okaijesan of Esanland. I really appreciate this tittle, particularly as it is coming from my hometown... '

'...of course, I was earlier conferred with the title: the Omotor I, of Oghara Kingdom, but, the the Ojiemudiaimen of Irrua Kingdom, gladdens my heart more...'

Eminent personalities present at the reception that held in his home in Agua-Irrua, include: Chief Kenneth Iyere, the OMOVUDU ORO RE OVIE, of Ughelli Kingdom, Delta state, Barr. Emmanuel Agbale, a former Commissioner for Education, and former Commissioner for Science and Technology, in Edo state, Professor Ujambi, Professor Igene, Barrister Agbator, amongst others; all staff of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Pastor Donald, the General Overseer of City of Grace Ministry, Irrua, the Uromi Police Area Commander, ACP Tsav, as well as his Irrua Area Command counterpart, ACP Benjamin Benifa. Members of Esan Recreational Club, Ekpoma, Members of Ewu Grammar School, Old Boys Association, the elders of Ewu Community, Members of the Hausa Community in Irrua, amongst others, were present to felicitate with double Chief Henry Okodogbe.
