Edo Governor Elect Pays A Thank You Visit to People of Esanland, Okaijesan

Edo state governor elect, Senator Monday Okpebholo, yesterday, Friday, October 4th 2024, paid a thank you visit to the people of Esanland, and the roual highness of his country home, the Ojirrua of Irrua Kingdom, and the Okaijesan of Esanland, Alhaji W.O Momodu II, CON. The event held at the palace of the Ojirrua in Eguare-Irrua, Esan central local government area of Edo state.

Speaking, Senator Monday Okpebholo said, he has come to the Okaijesan palace, to formally inform him that the election has been concluded and he won.

Continuing, Senator Monday Okpebholo said; "I have been issued with a Certificate of Return, and all that we are waiting for now, is the swearing into office which is coming up on the 12th of November".

"I thank you, and I thank the people of Esanland very much for all your support and prayers, before during and after the election".

"I come to seek for your prayers and blessings, and have also come to promise that the good things that Edo people desire to have, is what I will deliver to them. By the grace of God, in our 100 days in office, we will have very good stories to tell..."

"Thanks so much. Your prayers for us has come to pass; may God continue to bless you".

On his part, Comrade Senator Adams Oshiomhole who said he is honoured to accompany the governor elect to the palace of the Okaijesan, to thank him and the people of Esanland for all the known and unknown supports that the governor elect received during the electioneering process, also recalled all the supports he has received from the Ojirrua of Irrua Kingdom, even as far back as when he was a Labour Union leader, to the time he was the governor of Edo state.

Comrade Senator Adams Oshiomhole hailed the trajectory of electoral victories that Senator Okpebholo has been attaining, saying Okpebholo contested for the Senatorial seat for the first time, and won, and now for the governorship seat, also for the first time, and won without what he called, a 're-sit'.

Referring to the governor elect, as AkpakoRESCUE, Comrade Oshiomhole said; "Senator Monday Okpebholo, is a man sent by God to rescue Edo state and reconstruct the state back to her glorious days".

Comrade Oshiomhole prayed that Senator Okpebholo will do better than him in the governance of Edo state,  adding that, just like him, Okpebholo also come from a humble background, and people like them had to work very hard to make their marks.

In his response, the Ojirrua of Irrua Kingdom, and the Okaijesan of Esanland, Alhaji W. O. Momodu II, JP, CON, thanked God, his ancestors and the Oba of Benin for their support for the actualisation of his prayers for a governor from his domain, coming true, Okaijesan advised Senator Okpebholo to always help those in need and also remember his root at all time. Saying; "this is all I will advise you for now".

Also in the entourage of Senator Okpebholo to the Palace of the Okaijesan, are: his Deputy Governor elect, Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa,   Pastor Osagie Ize Iyamu, Edo state APC Chairman, Emperor Jarrett Tenebe, the APC Director of Campaign for the 2024 Edo Guber, Hon. Matthew Urohide, the Member representing Esan North East/Esan south East in the National Assembly, Rt. Hon. Odianosen Okojie, a former member of NASS, Hon. Omosede Igbinedion, a one time Commissioner, Dr. Barr. Chris Ebare, a one time Chief of Staff to Edo state governor, Hon. Taiwo Akerele, Hon. Gideon Obhakhan, the Publisher of Esan Magazine and the Correspondence titles, Mr. Odianosen Iwelomen, amongst others.
