Esan North East, United In Praying For Peace

On Thursday 29th May 2025 an unprecedented gathering of people across political and religion divide, from different walks of life, assembled at Christ Apple Mission International Inc, Idumu Obodo, Efandon, Uromi, the headquarters of Esan North East Local government area of Edo state, to pray and spiritually clean up the land; this spiritual exercise tagged: "Operation Clean The Land" with the theme: The Kingdom Is The Lord's", convened and hosted by the Chairman, Esan North East Local Government, ECLG, area, Hon. Paul Akhere Uhomesili, had in attendance so many men of God,  including Bishop Anthony Okosun, the Peoples Democratic Party,PDP, Chairman for Edo central Senatorial district, Apostle Sule Faraday, the Special Adviser to the governor of Edo state on religious matters, who is also the Edo state Government House Chaplain, Hon. Pastor Frank Omobude, the Chairman Edo state Christian pilgrim's Board and a host of several orders

Opening the service Bishop Ilenbodiaye, quoting II Chr. 7:14, said; "...the programme is organized to ask God for mercy and also to spiritually clean up the land of all the atrocities that may have been committed by people in the past,  that are now speaking against the land. 

Bishop Anthony Okosun,  while delivering a sermon, appreciated Hon. Paul Uhomesili,  the Chairman of the local government, for organizing the prayer session, saying; "...this is the first time in history that a prayer initiative of this nature is convened". He added that; "...the Chairman knows that the earth and its fullness thereof, belongs to the Lord, hence the need to turn to God to seek his face for a solution, as the rate of untimely deaths  in the local government area, is alarming, just as innocent people are being killed and God is definitely not happy about the development".

Using a broom to conduct the prayer section segment tagged: "The Spiritual Environmental Sanitation of The Land", Bishop Solomon Oriaifoh, of the Ascending Tabernacle Ministries Worldwide, said he is symbolically using the room to sweep out of the Land, every evil and negative activities that has been affecting the land. 

Speaking, the Chairman, Esan North East local government area, Hon. Uhomesili, used the opportunity to sow a seed offering of a cash sum to counter what ever seed the enemies and all evil people may have sowed to demonic altars in the past, that are currently affecting the peace of the land.


After the church prayer session, all the ministers of God retired to the office of the Chairman of the local government area which is the seat of power and activities in the local government area, to pray with, and for the success of the Chairman, in governing the local government.
