The Edo Central All Progressives Congress, APC, Senatorial Vice Chairman, High Chief Christopher Abuya, on Saturday 6th June 2026, harped on the need for unity of purpose in all ramifications, synergy and love to reign supreme in all local governments and wards in Edo Central in particular and Edo state in general, to enable Governor Monday Okpebholo to deliver the 2.5 million votes in the upcoming 2027 Presidential election as he promised, saying;  "ward one of Esan Central Local Government Area, is crucial; and next time I come here, I will make a clear pronouncement, and you will all smile".

High Chief Abuya said this during the opening of Asiwaju Tinubu 2027 Campaign Secretariat that held in Ibore-Irrua on Saturday, 6th June 2026.


Speaking at the premises of the Campaign Secretariat, that was filled to capacity by party fateful, across the nook and crannies of ward one of Esan Central Local Government Area, High Chief Abuya expressed joy at the massive turnout of people at the event, saying; "this turnout is unprecedented, and I am sure many of you present here, are not here with your spouce, fathers, mothers, brothers and sisters, but on election day, all of them will definitely be present to vote for our candidates across board."


"I wasn't looking forward to see this large crowd here; I am marvelled at seeing this crowd, and I am more concerned than ever that, this Ward is one that must be reckoned with".


High Chief Abuya who also revealed that governor Monday knows how important Ward one is to the economy and the polity of Esan Central, has approved the roads that connects Ibore with Atuagbo, Afuda and the entire Uwessan axis, also advised that, to continue to attract more dividends of democracy from the state government, the entire APC members in Ward One, must be united and work in unison in ensuring overwhelming victory in all elections.


The Asiwaju Campaign Secretariat building, together with all the furniture and household equipment therein, was sponsored by High Chief Abudu Ugbesia, the Chairman, Edo State Traditional Medicines Board, TMB, for the use of the party for 2027 Asiwaju Presidential Campaign.
