On Saturday, the 6th of June 2026, the Asiwaju Campaign Secretariat, Sponsored by High Chief Abudu Ugbesia JP, the Chairman, Edo State Traditional Medicines Board, TMB, was Commissioned, even as the Edo Central Senatorial district, All Progressives Congress, APC, Chairman, High Chief Christopher Abuya pronounced that the Secretariat will also serve as the Ward one APC  Secretariat; as the ramshackle building currently being used by the ward, is obsolete and not befitting to be used as a party Secretariat.

Addressing the mammoth crowd that overflowed to outside the premises of the Secretariat building, High Chief Ugbesia who said he was motivated because of Governor Monday Okpebholo's developmental strides across the three Senatorial districts of Edo state, to convert the building, including all the furniture and equipment in it, for campaign activities for Asiwaju 2027, added that; "this is one of the ways by which I can support Governor Monday Okpebholo in the actualisation of the 2.5 million votes he  promised to deliver for Asiwaju, come 2027 Presidential election".


"...for me, I am more concerned about the unity and progress of the Uneah people. It is my strong believe that, the more we support Governor Monday Okpebholo, the more dividends of democracy and good governance we will get".


Speaking before cutting the tape to commission the 2027 Asiwaju Campaign Secretariat, the Vice Chairman of APC Edo Central, High Chief Christopher Abuya, expressed surprise at what he witnessed, saying; "I never expected to see this large turn out". Chief Abuya, however went on to pronounce that the 2027 Asiwaju Campaign Secretariat, in Ibore-Irrua, will also double as the Esan Central, Ward one APC Secretariat, as the Secretariat building the ward is currently using as Secretariat, is not befitting to be used as a Party Secretariat.


In an exclusive chat with our reporter, Hon. Prince Abdullahi Momodu, aka Superlee, the Esan Central APC Chairmanship Candidate, commended High Chief Abudu Ugbesia for his exemplary leadership traits he has been displaying in Ward One, and urged every member of the party in the ward to be united, saying; "united we stand, dividend, we fall. We need to be united, so we can achieve the 2.5 million votes promised by Governor Monday Okpebholo for the 2027 Asiwaju Presidential election". He concluded.
