...we are the most peaceful local government in Edo state, LG Boss tells new HoLGA

A new Head of Local Government Administration, HoLGA, for Esan Central Local Government Area, Barr. Edoigiawerie Gladys, today, 26th January 2026, reported for duty in the local government.

Speaking, the Chairman, ECLGA, Rt. Hon. Kelvin Ainiyalenhimi Iyere, who on behalf of the entire staff and Leadership of the local government area, welcomed the new HoLGA, said; "...on behalf of the entire leadership and members of staff of Esan Central Local Government Area, I welcome you to Esan Central Local Government Area".


"Esan Central, is one of the peaceful local government areas in Edo state, if not the most peaceful".


"...this is the local government area, where our governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo hails from, in view of this, we do everything possible in ensuring that we leave no stone unturned in leading by example".


Responding, Barr. Edoigiawerie, who was at some point the Head of Legal Department in the local government, said; "...for me, this is homecoming. I was transferred to Esan West Local Government Area from here, and today, I am glad to be back".


"I pledge my loyalty to work with you, for the progress of this local government area".

Until her new posting to Esan Central Local Government Area, Barr. Edoigiawerie Gladys, was the Head of Legal Department in Esan west local government area.

Those present with the new HoLGA, are the Director of Administration and General Services, DAGS, Mrs. Ogun Rita O, Head of Procurement, Mr. Gaius Obiyan, Head of Legal Department, Barr. Ehizoyanyan, Head of Information, Mrs. Momodu and a host of others.
