Esan Central LG Boss, Kick-starts 2026 With Another Project

As 2026 begins, the second week of the first month of the year, is witnessing the continuation of the execution of people oriented projects in Esan Central Local Government, ECLG, area of Edo state, as Rt. Hon. Kelvin Ainiyalenhimi Iyere, the Chairman of the local government area, kick started the construction of a perimeter fence of Ugbokhare Primary School, with a Security Post attached.
The project started yesterday, 9th of January 2026, as heavy duty machines were seen at the premises of the primary school doing the preliminary works.
In an exclusive chat with Esan Magazine, Rt. Hon. Iyere made it clear that the essence of governance is to provide enabling environment for the people to thrive adding that, the people's expectations are very high. Saying; "...as a political representative of the people of Esan Central Local Government area, I know that the expectations of my people on me, is very high, especially bearing in mind that before this dispensation, our people suffered heavily as we were seriously marginalized; today however, we are doing everything we can do, to ensure that those wasted years are restored; so that our people can smile again".
"... If you watch closely, and have been following the trend of events in Edo state, you will also realize that our governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, is equally doing same, to ensure that a lot is done to at least, restore the wasted 8 years".
"... For me, the celebrations of the Christmas and New Year festivals is over and we have a lot to do in Esan central local government area. I guess you are aware that our governor is building new modern market stores inside Irrua market, and we have in the past two weeks been working very hard to create a temporary marketplace in Idumu-Eguare, by Agric Junction, for our market men and women; and now, this Ugbokhare Primary School project".
"There are many more projects to come. They have been pencilled down. We will continue to execute them one at a time. By the grace of God, all the Wards in Esan central local government area, will benefit from the dividends of democracy of this administration". The local government area Chairman said.
It will be recalled that, Rt. Hon. Kelvin Ainiyalenhimi Iyere, had executed projects in Opoji, Eidenu, Agua, Ibhiolulu, Ikekato and in Eguare-Irrua, just as he earlier in the week, visited the Eguare Health centre to ascertain the state of the facility, with the aim of doing the needful in remodeling it.
