Edo State Governor, Allocates One Hectare of Land To Edo State TMB

The Edo state Geographical Information System, GIS, The Forestry Commission, and some members of the Security Agency, on Wednesday, 21st January, 2026, led the Chairman, Edo state Traditional Medicines Board, TMB, and members of the Board, to the one hectare plot of land in Uhumwonde Local Government Area, Ehor, that was allocated to Edo state TMB for their Botanical Garden.
Speaking at the location of the plot of land, the Chairman of Edo state TMB, High Chief Ugbesia, who hailed Governor Okpebholo, also expressed doubt whether Edo state will have a governor that will continue the good works of Senator Monday Okpebholo, after the end of his eight years' tenure.
Chief Ugbesia, thanked the governor for fulfilling his promise to Edo State TMB, and also prayed that God will continue to guide and protect him all through his tenure.
In an exclusive chart with Esan Magazine, High Chief Ugbesia who enumerated the benefits of the Botanical Garden to TMB, and Edo state in general, said; "... this garden is not what will be in operation for just a while; it has come to stay and the Botanical Garden will be a source of ready raw materials for our practitioners especially as we sometimes find it very difficult to get some herbs around our vicinity, as buildings and construction works has taken over a great area of our Forest"
"... The governor Senator Monday Okpebholo, has fulfilled his promise to us by giving us the one hectare of land he promised. It is our turn to make him proud". Chief Ugbesia said.
