Oriaifo Foundation Distributes Rice, Groundnut Oil, Household Items, Cash Gifts to Women in Uneah Community, Esan Central LGA.

As part of the usual end of year humanitarian outreach program by Oriaifo Foundation, involving the distribution of rice, groundnut oil and some other food items to women and children in Uneah, Esan Central Local Government, ECLG, area of Edo state, Oriaifo Foundation, today, 24th December 2025, reached out to women in Ibore, Atuagbo, Ekilor communities in Uneah, who gathered at Primary School, Ekilor, Esan Central Local Government, ECLG, area of Edo state, to receive their food items.
The yearly initiative is aimed at supporting people in the communities by easing household food challenges, especially during the Christmas season; it is also part of a social support initiative to assist women, particularly those from low-income households.
Speaking with Winning Media from Scotland, the brain behind the programme, Ambassador Kessington Odion Oriaifo, a two term representative of Nigeria Youths at the United Nations Yearly Youth Conference, said; "...Food security remains a key concern in many rural communities, and Oriaifo Foundation food outreach, is a yearly activity, that comes up at the end of the year, around the Christmas period, and it sought to provide short-term relief while encouraging communal solidarity".
Ambassador Oriaifo, who also used the opportunity to commend the efforts of Governor Monday Okpebholo in just one year of his administration, describing governor Okpebholo as "the perfect fit" to govern Edo state at this time, also used the opportunity to appeal to Edo State Governor to look into the deplorable situation of Atuagbo-Ekilor road, with a view of renovating it, hence open the axis to economic activities, especially agric based activities.
The exercise commenced with brief remarks, made by Elder Phillip Iyoha, one of the party leaders in Ward One, and the leader in Ekilor, unit 10, who expressed appreciation for the gesture from Oriaifo Foundation, and also emphasized the importance of supporting women as pillars of the household. This was followed by the systematic distribution of the food items.
Many of the women, including Oshioakhiena Regina, the unit 10, Ekilor woman leader,
expressed gratitude for the support, describing the items as timely and helpful in meeting their family needs, especially during this Christmas season. She also advised other well meaning individuals in the society and in Diaspora to emulate this yearly noble humanitarian gesture from Oriaifo Foundation.
