Iwelomen, Ebhabha Families Set To Celebrate Life Lived By Their Matriach

The families of Iwelomen, of Ivue-Uromi, and Ebhabha of Ebhojie, Ebhoiyi-Uromi, both in Esan North East Local Government, ENELG, area of Edo state, are set to celebrate the life lived by their matriarch, Late Princes Asetu Iwelomen, nee Ebhabha, who departed this world at the age of 94, in the early hours of Wednesday, 12th November 2025, at her residence in Ivue-Uromi.
According to the families, the four days event will begin on Thursday, 29th January 2026 and end on Sunday, the 1st of February 2026.
The families also announced that, a vigil Mass will be held in her honour, in her residence, Iwelomen compound, in Ivue-Uromi, on Thursday, 29th January 2026.
On the 30th of January 2026, will be the lying in state of her body, as well as the Requiem mass, and interment.
Saturday, 31st January 2026, will be the day for the entertainment of guests, while Sunday, 1st of February, a Thanksgiving mass will be held at St. John the Evangelical Church, Ivue-Uromi.
Late Princess Asetu Iwelomen, nee Ebhabha, until her death, was a devout Christian of the Catholic faith and a respected member of the Edion Council of Ivue - Uromi. Mama lived a fulfilled and impactful life.
She is survived by Mrs. Esther Omofuma, Elder Peter Odianosen Iwelomen, Mrs. Philomena Ebare, Mr. Austen Bhumen Iwelomen, Chief Godwin Louis Iwelomen, Mrs. Benedicta Aidota Iferi and Mr. Edwin Ade Iwelomen.
Late Princess Asetu is also survived by 35 Grandchildren and 22 Great grand children.
Elder Odianosen Iwelomen, aka WELO, the eldest son of late Princess Asetu Iwelomen, is the Publisher and Editor in Chief, of Esan Magazine and the Correspondence.
