Esan Central, 'Chairman' Novelty Match, Played In Eidenu-Irrua

As part of the activities to mark the one year of purposeful governance of Rt. Hon. Kelvin Ainiyalenhimi Iyere, in office, as the Chairman of Esan Central Local Government, ECLG, area, a novelty football match was today, Monday 29th December 2025, played in honour of the Chairman.
The football match held at Eidenu Primary School, playground.
The novelty football match was played between Eidenu men living in Eidenu, and those living outside the Community, otherwise, called the "Home" and "Away" players respectively, and the Chairman, Esan Central Local Government, ECLG, area, Rt. Hon. Iyere, a 'son of the soil', also actively participated in the game.

Rt. Hon. Iyere, who played the Kick-off, played on the side of the Home Team in the first half, and later on the side of the 'Away' team in the second half.
The football match ended 4-0 in favour of the Home based Team. Two goals in the first half, and two goals in the second half of the match.
In the first half, Raymond Adams, aka MC Woman Boy, scored the opening goal, while the Chairman of the local government, Rt. Hon. Kelvin Iyere, scored the second goal.

The line-up of the Home Team, include, Friday Adam, Raymond Adams, aka, Woman MC, Omons Igbo, Victory, Prophet Vincent, Amaru, Wisdom Emoyon, Paul Sawe, Ogboru, Kelvin Iyere, and Kanu. While in the line-up of the 'AWAY' team, include; While Ozoyingbo, Sunday Ozubu, Emmanuel Aliu, Bobby Omokhon, Frank Akhabue, Osemu Adams, John Ozegbe, Godfrey Iribhogbe, Paul Aigberaodion, Ayemere Braimoh and Ehimare Ogudugu.
At the end of the football match, the players and spectators, all retired to the Chairman's residence, nearby, for a 'heavy' refreshment.
A thanksgiving service, at the instance of Rt. Hon. Iyere, was earlier held yesterday, Sunday, 28th December 2025, at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Udowo.
