LG Election, 2026: Aspirant Calls for Fairness, Equity...

Hon. Clement Iyasele, an indigene of Idumabi-Irrua, politically delianated under Ward six of the local government area, has made an appeal to the people of his Ward to support him, as he is contesting for the position of a Councilor to represent the ward come 2026 local government election.

The Esan Central Local Government, Ward 6, Councilor hopeful, made this appeal in a message he wrote, signed and circulated on social media platforms.

The message reads in part; "...Also, you all know that, I once contested for the Councilor to represent our Ward, Ward six, in the year 2023. At that time, our party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, was in opposition. *At that time, the only person that took the bold step, that risked his resources to contest in 2023, was me, CLEMENT IYASELE.*

This time around, my reason for coming out to contest to represent our Ward, is that, like we all know, my community, Idumabi, is practically not seen in today's Political representation; we have up till now, been sidelined, even though, all other communities in our Ward, have in the past, benefited maximally, and are still benefitting. Some persons from other communities in Ward 6, have in the past, served in this position of a Councilor, but we have not".

"In view of the above, for Fairness and Spirit of Oneness, Idumabi community should be given the opportunity to produce a Councilor to represent our Ward, Ward six".

"My People Of Ward 6, Esan Central Local Government Area, Here I AM, SEND ME".

Finally, Hon. Clement Iyasele, who passionately appealed to all the people of his Ward to support him to represent Ward 6 in the 2026 Edo state local government election, also thanked them in anticipation of their support for his aspiration.

Hon. Clement Iyasele, holds a Bachelor's degree, (Bsc. Hons.) in Accounting Education from Ambrose Alli University, AAU, Ekpoma, Edo state.
