Prince Momodu, in an exclusive chat with our Correspondent today, Thursday 16th October, 2025, emphasized the need for stakeholders across Esan Central to “go back to the drawing board” and reassess the local government’s priorities in order to pave the way for sustainable growth.

He said; "Development doesn't happen by chance, It happens by design it is time to review where we are, identify what went wrong and chart a new course that reflects the collective aspirations of our people".

Superlee, who is known for his grassroots appeal and pragmatic approach to issues, noted that Esan Central has the potential to become a model of local development if properly harnessed. His repositioning plan, he said, will focus on critical areas such as Infrastructure renewal, Youth and Women Empowerment, Education, Healthcare, and Agricultural revitalization.

Continuing, he said, under his watch, his administration would prioritize the rehabilitation of rural roads, the provision of clean water, and the restoration of public facilities, in the localities where the amenities are in dire needs. He also highlighted the importance of job creation through entrepreneurship support, skills acquisition centres, especially for young people and women, as part of a broader effort to reduce unemployment.

On education and healthcare, Prince Abdullahi Momodu pledged to pursue policies that would enhance learning outcomes, even as he hope to improve on the people's access to quality medical services in rural communities, in line with Governor Monday Okpebholo's policies.

He further stressed that, transparent governance, community engagement, and effective resource management will be the pillars of his development drive.

Prince Abdullahi Momodu concluded by saying; "...the future of Esan Central is in our hands, let's all get back to the drawing board and build a local government that we will all be proud of".

Community leaders and opinion shapers across Esan Central have begun expressing optimism about Superlee’s initiative, describing it as a timely intervention that could reignite public confidence in local governance.

As momentum builds around this initiative, Superlee reaffirmed his commitment to leading with integrity and inclusiveness.

The “Back to the Drawing Board”, call, signals a shift from rhetoric to results-driven action, especially as residents increasingly demand accountability and progress from their leaders.
