 Edo 2024 Guber: Ugbesia Set To Celebrate Gov. Okpebholo's Supreme Court Victory

Following the Victory of Senator Monday Okpebholo, the governor of Edo state, at the Supreme Court, over the court case instituted against him by Asuelimen Ighodalo, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, candidate in the 2024 Edo state gubernatorial election, challenging the victory of Senator Okpebholo at the poll, the Chairman, Edo state Traditional Medicine Board, TMB, High Chief Abudu Ugbesia, JP, is set to Celebrate the Supreme Court judgment, affirming Governor Monday Okpebholo as the governor of Edo state.



The celebration, according to High Chief Abudu Ugbesia, will be coming up at his residence in Ibore, Esan Central Local Government, ECLG, area of Edo state, on Saturday, 12th July 2025.


Speaking, High Chief Ugbesia said; "... I want to use this opportunity to invite all APC members across the 10 Wards in Esan Central local government area, to assemble in my house in Ibore, for the victory celebration of our governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, at the Supreme Court".


"... I am not only celebrating our victory at the Supreme Court, I am also celebrating the practical and good governance of our Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo. He is a man chosen by God to the govern Edo state, especially at this time when we have in the past 8 years, experienced a government of complete neglect and abandonment of the people in the State".


Chief Ugbesia concluded by saying; "...this is not the first time I am celebrating the victory of my party in the last governorship election. The first time, was when the result was declared, and now again, as the Supreme Court has finally sealed the victory; and on each of the occasions, I celebrate our victory with a cow. This victory, is worth celebrating in a big way, because it is a Victory for the progress of Edo state".
