Chairman, Esan Central LG, Councilors, Inspects Ongoing Construction Of 60 Lockup stores In Irrua Market

On Wednesday, 18th June, 2025, the Chairman, Esan Central Local Government Area, Rt. Hon. Kelvin Ainiyalenhimi Iyere, the Majority Leader of the Legislative Arm of the local government, who is also the Councilor representing Ward 5, Hon. George Washington Egbele, and some other Councilors, went on an inspection tour of the ongoing construction of the lock up stores in Irrua market.

Speaking with Esan Magazine, Hon. Washington Egbele, expressed satisfaction on the level of work so far done, saying; "...if the pace of work continues like this, the market will be ready for use on record time".


"...this is a project initiated and influenced through our collective efforts".


Continuing, Hon. Egbele said; "...the construction of 60 units of lock-up stores and a modern toilet facility is a welcome development".


Hon. Egbele who pointed out that, once completed, the facility will significantly boost economic activities and enhance the quality of services available to the people, also emphasized that; "this project means a lot to me as its stands as one of our lagacy projects in the Heart of Irrua Town". 


Hon. Egbele concluded by commending Rt. Hon. Iyere, the Executive Chairman, Esan Central Local Government Area, for the avalanche of projects so far executed within the short time he has been in office, even as the people look forward to more developmental projects, especially as Ward 05 remains the cosmopolitan hub of Esan Central Local Government, and the host of the Local Government Secretariat.


He concluded by saying; "we will continue to put the people’s interests first in all our activities as we promote peaceful development around the local government".
