Uneah, Ancient Communities Of Fame, Agog, With Celebration Of Iruen Festival

The yearly Iruen (age grade) Festival, celebrated by the Uneah Communities of Obiabi, Ibore, Ugbalo and Atuagbo, was a beehive of activities in the past couple of days, as the communities celebrates the yearly Festival.
On Monday, 21st of April 2025, Winning Media Online, captured the echoes of the celebration in Ibore, where the market square and the Town Hall was upbeat with activities of the Iruen Festival celebration.
Speaking with Winning Media Online, High Chief Abudu Ugbesia, a community leader in Ibore, who is also the Chairman of Edo state Traditional Medicines Board, TMB, said; "... this celebration, is a yearly affair in Uneah as a whole, and it normally come up around April of every year.
"It is a ceremony that ushers the youth into adulthood". He said.
The Councilor representing Ward 1, Hon. Okpiahior Abhulimen Kelvin, was also present in Ibore, to grace the occasion.
