 LGA of Our Sitting Governor, Has Zero Tolerance For Cultism, Violence...

The Chairman, Esan Central Local Government, ECLG, area, Rt. Hon. Kelvin Iyere Ainiyelenhimi, has emphasised that, Esan Central Local Government Area, where the sitting governor of Edo state, Governor Monday Okpebholo hails from, has zero tolerance for cultism  or any criminal activities, saying; "Esan Central Local Government, will be exemplary in all areas".

Hon. Iyere said this on Thursday, 23rd January 2025, when the members of Irrua Youth Organization, under the umbrella of the National Youth Council, NYC, went on a sensitisation exercise to Esan Central Local Government Council, on the dangers of engaging in cultism and criminal activities.


The Chairman, Esan Central Local Government Area, who promised to support the members of Irrua Youths in their efforts in ensuring that the Youths are discouraged from drug abuse, cultism, robbery and other crime related activities, also commended the organization saying; "...this your sensitisation activities will go a long way in assisting us in this local government, because, the killings that happened recently, is worrisome. We will do our best to support you in this exercise.

"This is the local government of the sitting governor; issues relating to violent crimes, or crimes of any sort, should not be encouraged here. We will join hands with you, for us to achieve our aim".


In company of the Youths, in the sensitisation exercise, is the Nigeria Police Force, Irrua Command, Divisional Police Officer, DPO, the President of Anticult Organization in Edo Central, Chief Dr. Kennedy Akhimien, and other Youth groups in Esan Central Local Government Area.
