Esan Central: APC Chieftain Appreciates Community On Electoral Victory

Today, Thursday, 9th January 2025, an All Progressives Congress, APC, Chieftain in Udowo, Esan Central local government area of Edo state, Ambassador Iyere Osemudiamen, aka Mayor, held a 'thank you' bash for the people of his country home, Udowo, to thank them for the victory of the All Progressives Congress, in the September 2024 gubernatorial election that saw the emergence of Senator Governor Monday Okpebholo as the executive Governor of Edo state. 

Speaking with Esan Magazine Online, Ambassador Iyere Osemudiamen said; "Yes, this celebration is long overdue, but the delay is due to the fact that, after the election, I travelled out of the country, as I am not always in Nigeria because of my numerous business engagements. 

"Before now, APC hardly win my Ward, It has always been the domain of the Peoples Democratic Party, but during the build up to the 2024 gubernatorial election, I was at home to plead with my people, for them to see why they should support me for my party, the APC, to win. I also promised to return to thank them if we eventually win. The celebration you are seeing today, is my way of fulfilling my promise to them; because I know they will always be there for me. 

Ambassador Iyere, who said, Governor Monday Okpebholo, is a man that can be trusted at all time, especially seeing how he has started well in delivering his campaign promises, also added that, "... the humility of our governor, is exemplary". 


Hon. Igabali Imoisili Darlington, the Managing Director, Edo state Development and Building Control Agency, who was also present at the event, also joined Ambassador Mayor in thanking the people of Udowo for the overwhelming support they gave to the All Progressives Congress in the 2024 gubernatorial election. 

Rt. Hon. Kelvin Iyere Ainiyanlenhimi, the Acting Chairman, Esan Central Local Government, ECLG area, was also present. 

Speaking, Rt. Hon. Iyere said; "we will continue to thank you for the support you gave to our party, the APC, during the last election. All I can assure you for now, is to have it at the back of your minds that, a new Edo state is rising, and as this is happening, a new Esan Central local government area, and a new Esanland is also rising alongside".
