The Reverend Father that officiated, the Funeral Mass, Fr. Leo Tobore, who is also the resident Priest, in his homily, said; "...our sister, our mother, our friend, madam Caroline Akunure, has gone back home. This world is not our home, we are only just passing through this world. Our sister, our mother and our friend, Madam Caroline Akunure Adagha no longer have to bother about the worries and material things of this world, because, she is now in the presence of the Lord".
The Reverend Father, who prayed for the repose of her soul, also prayed that the family and her loved ones she left behind, to have the fortitude to bear the loss. Quoting John 11:25, he said; "even though she is dead, she will live again because she knows and believes in Jesus Christ".
Hon. Lawrence Odiase, the eldest son, used the opportunity to appreciate the Parish Priest, all the church workers for their patience. He also appreciated the family friends and well-wishers that came from far and wide to be a part of the event.
Speaking about the life lived by his late mother, Hon. Odiase who described his mother as a fervent Christian, said his mother always say; "she will rather prefer to die, than to permit any situation to stop her from worshipping and serving God".
