Senator Okpebholo, A Timely Governor For Edo state

The Edo state governor elect, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has been described as a timely governor for the sorry state of affairs that Edo state is currently in, where virtually all the sectors of the state economy are in comatose, as executive rascalities is the order of the day. 

The above sentiment was expressed by a member of the 2023 All Progressives Congress, APC, Presidential Campaign Council, and the Director of Intelligence gathering of 2024 Akpakomiza Support Group, Dr. Goddy Osa Igbaekemen. 


Speaking with a team of Journalists in Benin city, the headquarters of Edo state recently, Dr. Igbaekemen who expressed his mind on the way forward in Edo state, said; "... we have come a very long way in witnessing executive rascality in government in Edo state. We have seen how 14 constituencies were schemed out of governance for four good years. We have seen how the opposition were muffled, intimidated and silenced, and we have seen how our commonwealth was plundered. We have also seen how Obaseki, because of his personal interest and disrespect to the judiciary, vehemently refused to inaugurate some judges that were constitutionally approved, but today he is asking his political godson to seek redress in the same court of law that he disrespected. What else do we need to see, that we are yet to see"? 


"thank God we now have a humane governor elect. Senator Monday Okpebholo, is a timely governor for Edo state of today".


Continuing, Dr. Igbaekemen said; "the grace that saw Senator Okpebholo through the Senatorial election for the first time, that saw him through the Edo gubernatorial election, also for the first time, that grace will see him through as a governor of Edo state that will be remembered for the delivery of the dividends of democracy that will positively impart on the lives of the people and generations yet unborn, just like Professor Ambrose Alli did".


By the special grace of God, Edo state should get ready for a new phase of development and progress. Dr. Igbaekemen concluded.
