NURTW Congratulates Edo Governor Elect
...he has come to rescue Edo state

Today, Friday 4th of October 2024, the members of Edo state chapter of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, were in Irrua, the headquarters of Esan central local government area of Edo state, to welcome the victorious son of Irrua Kingdom, the governor elect of Edo state, Senator Monday Okpebholo, back to his local government, and country home, Udomi after his success at the just concluded Edo state Governorship election, where he emerged victorious as the governor elect of Edo state.
In an exclusive interview with Esan Magazine, the Chairman of Edo state chapter of NURTW, Mr. Saturday Oamen, said; "...we are here in Irrua, to Congratulate Senator Monday Okpebholo on his victory at the polls, and also to welcome him back home as the governor elect of Edo state. We stood by him all through the campaign and election periods, and we will stand by him all through his tenure in office..."

"We believe that Senator Monday Okpebholo will rescue Edo state from all the decay that the state is currently in, because, he has been on a rescue mission, even before now. He contributed immensely to the formation of Atanakpa Security Network in Esanland, even before he became the Senator; from this fact, you can only imagine what he will do, now that he is the governor elect of Edo state"
"Senator Okpebholo is a man of the people, he is humble, focused and empathetic. He lived and grew with the people, and he knows the worries and pains of the people. All these are why we see him as the rescuer. He has come to rescue Edo state from the sorry situation that we are currently in..."
Speaking further, Mr. Oamen who said, the members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, are well trained drivers who are highly professional in their dealings with passengers and the public, are ready to work with the incoming governor of Edo state to ensure a successful tenure that all Edo people will be proud of at the end of the day, also added that, the days of ignorant and uncultured people in the union, is gone for good, saying; " our union, in Akpakomiza's administration, will be a shining example that other states in Nigeria will copy from, as a new Edo is rising..."
