The 'thank you' visit of Senator Monday Okpebholo, the Edo state governor elect, to the people of Esanland for the support he received from them during the just concluded Edo governorship election, has been described as a carnival with God's blessings.
Senator Monday Okpebholo's 'thank you' visit to the people of Esanland, held on Friday, the 4th of October , was so described by High Chief Chris Ekeoba a business man, Chairman, GRACE HOTEL, Irrua and a well known philanthropist, while reacting to the pomp and pageantry that welcomed the governor elect to Esanland.
Speaking, Chief Ekeoba said; "the different groups, Unions, Women Associations, and Youths that assembled to welcome Akpakomiza, is a sign of the full acceptance of the governor elect and his Deputy by the people of Esanland".
"The open space in Okaijesan Hall, was infact too small to accommodate the crowd, such that, the vehicles of some very important dignitaries that accompanied the governor elect to Esanland, couldn't find space..."
"If this is not a sign of full acceptance, I wonder what it is"
"This is grace speaking. It is also a pointer to the fact that, Senator Monday Okpebholo's emergence as the governor elect of Edo state, has God's approval. He is on a divine mandate as such, he will succeed".
Continuing, Chief Ekeoba said; "I join Senator Monday Okpebholo to thank the Ojirrua of Irrua Kingdom and the Okaijesan of Esanland, Alhaji W. O. Momodu the second, for his approval of and support for Senator Okpebholo. I thank the people of Esanland and all my teeming supporters that listened to and accepted my plea for them to support our governor-elect in ensuring that Senator Okpebholo emerged victorious".
