The just concluded Edo state governorship election, witnessed a complete turnaround of election results in ward six of Esan central local government area, as the influence of High Chief Chris Ekeoba, aka Ten Million, made the result of the ward to turn out in favour of the All Progressives Congress, APC, as the immediate past senator, Senator Clifford Ordia, of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, was humbled by the outcome of the results.
Speaking with Esan Magazine, High Chief Chris Ekeoba who congratulated Senator Monday Okpebholo on his victory at the polls, said; "Idumebo community identified fully with Monday Okpebholo, because he has done so much in Ward six. For instance, he re-roofed the Town Hall in Idumebo. That Hall, was an eyesore, especially, whenever it rained. He fixed solar lights in our feeder roads; and for me, and many others in the ward, that is development, and the only way we can show appreciation to our governor-elect, is to give him our votes".
"for me, I believe that Senator Monday Okpebholo can turn things around, based on his past antecedents that are clearly verifiable from all that he has done for the benefit of his people, like feeder roads, boreholes as well as several other empowerment programmes, initiated and executed by him".
Continuing, Chief Ekeoba said, the winnings of Senator Monday Okpebholo, particularly in my ward, is a clear testimony that, whatever you sow, you reap; and for me, delivering my ward, is a must, which I did effectively. He said.
