2024 Edo Guber, is Free, Fair, Family Affair -Ekeoba

The just concluded Edo state governorship election that held on the 21st of September, 2024, has been described as free, fair and a family affair.

The Edo governorship election was so described by a renown philanthropist and a Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, High Chief Chris Ekeoba, while responding to a team of Journalists on Monday, 23rd September 2024, on his opinion about the election.

Explaining further, Chief Ekeoba said; "Asuelimen Ighodalo and Senator Monday Okpebholo, are both our brothers. None of them is an alien. So, the election is a competition between two brothers; and in every competition, a winner must emerge, and that is exactly what happened..."

"... again, the complaints expressed by Asuelimen Ighodalo, is expected. It is normal, because, if the outcome of the election had been in his favour, he wouldn't have complained, his opponent would have been the one complaining today..."

Continuing, Chief Ekeoba who advised the winner, Senator Monday Okpebholo, to be magnanimous in victory, also expressed confidence on the ability of the governor elect to deliver on his mandate, saying; "people that talk less, like Senator Monday Okpebholo, are loaded, and highly blessed when it comes to delivery..."

Edo State Security Corps To Profile, Document Members - Coordinator The Coordinator of Edo State Security Corps (ESSC), retired Commissioner of Police Friday Ibadin has urged personnel of the defunct Edo State Security Network now ESSC to make themselves available for profiling.
