Dr. Igbaekemen made this call in Benin recently, when speaking with a team of Journalists during the campaign tour of the All Progressives Congress for the 21st September election.

Speaking, Dr. Igbaekemen said; "I will strongly advise that, the electorates and people of Edo state should not be moved by sweet talking politicians that has nothing but empty promises to show for their complete eight years of ineptitude that they have been at the saddle of power in Edo state..."

"Edo state belongs to all of us, I strongly advise that no one should sit on the fence, with respect to the upcoming election, as Senator Monday Okpebholo, the man of grace, that talk less, but has over the years, demonstrated so much passion for the progress and prosperity of his people, even with his personal resources, is the candidate that will do more, when given the opportunity..."

Finally, Igbaekemen who urged all indigene as well as those resident in Edo state, to jettison whatever is their political party affiliation, and vote for the APC candidate, who he described as a man that speaks less, but has a strong focus on his  vision and goals, added that, Edo state have tried several people to lead us in the past, but Monday Okpebholo's leadership and character traits, speaks volumes about his innate qualities.
