February of Festival in Ekpoma Kingdom...as Ekpoma Celebrates Ihuen Festival

Ihuen Festival, a yearly cultural festival celebrated by the people of Ekpoma Kingdom, kicked off yesterday Thursday, the 1st of February, 2024, with the paying of homage to the Palace by the various communities in Ekpoma kingdom, business Organisations, and well wishers.
The event continued today, Thursday 2nd February with the conferment of Chieftaincy titles on a number of persons that, over the years, have shown exemplary character worthy of emulation. The paying of homage to the Monarch, His Royal Majesty, Barr. Anthony Ehizojie Abumere ll, JP, also continued.
Amongst the array of groups that paid homage to the Monarch today, include the Ibirra Community resident in the kingdom, the Agua-Ose traditional religious sect, the Generators Repairers Association, the Kegites Club and a host of others
A very symbolic highlight of today's event of the festival, is the offering of prayers for the entire kingdom by the Onojie of Ekpoma, as he walked out of the palace, accompanied by some of the Palace Chiefs....
