Edo NUJ Chairman Hails Uhomoibhi,
......says 'Edo state is proud to have you...'

The Chairman of the Edo state Chapter of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Mr. Festus Alenkhe, has commended Ambassador Professor Martin Ihoeghian Uhomoibhi for his sterling qualities in terms of his academic and work experience records in Nigeria and globally.
The NUJ Chairman made the commendation on Tuesday, 6th December 2023, when responding to Ambassador Uhomoibhi's presentations at the NUJ Press Centre, in Benin City, Edo state, humourously saying Ambassador Uhomoibhi has come to "positively intimidate us".
Continuing, Alenkhe described Ambassador Professor Uhomoibhi as a great lecturer who he was also privileged to read some of his thesis when he was doing his advanced degree in International Relations in University of Benin.
Ambassador Uhomoibhi was at the Edo state Chapter of the NUJ to formally inform the people of Edo state, using the various Media platforms, of his aspiration to contest for the upcoming Edo 2024 governorship position, under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Ambassador Professor Martin Ihoeghian Uhomoibhi, OFR, the longest serving Permanent Secretary in the history of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is a seasoned Diplomat. He was Ambassador of Nigeria to several countries, was the United Nations Undersecretary General in Dafur-Sudan, was the President of the United Nations Human Right Council, UNHRC, as well as the President of the General Assembly of the World Intelectual Property Organisation, WIPO. Ambassador Uhomoibhi currently lectures on part-time, in three Universities, the Baze University, and Veritas University, both in Abuja, and also a visiting Professor at the Igbinedion University, Okada, Edo state.
Ambassador Prof Martin Ihoeghian Uhomoibhi, is the Proprietor, Pan African Institute for Global Affairs and Strategy (PAIGAS).
