2024 EDO GUBER: Delegates, Our Main Problem

 2024 EDO GUBER:

Delegates, Our Main Problem

By: Oriaifoh Godwins

The delegates that will be responsible for electing who eventually becomes the candidates of their respective political parties, in the 2024 Edo State governorship election, has been called upon not to allow their selfish interests to becloud their sense of good judgement in their choice of who will eventually emerge as the candidates of their respective parties, as delegates has been a huge impediment in the choice of the right candidates.

This call was made by Ambassador Odion Oriaifo, an All Progressives Congress, APC, gubernatorial aspirant for the 2024 Edo gubernatorial position.

Speaking on a telephone interview with Winning Media Blogspot recently, Ambassador Oriaifo said; '....Professor Ambrose Alli set a very high standard when he was governor of the defunct Bendel State, and that standard, has not been met by successive governors, as such, the 2024 Edo gubernatorial election, is a very crucial one, not only for the people of Edo State in general, but also for the people of Esanland in particular, in the sense that, it is an opportunity that Esan land has been waiting for, to project and support a worthy and credible candidate who can bring back our lost glory as a state...'

'We cannot afford to waste this opportunity by projecting a wrong candidate that does not have any clue as regards what governance is all about...'

Continuing, he said; '...the past almost eight years of the present administration, has been regrets upon regrets for the people of Edo State, and God forbid that we continue in the same experience in 2024. This is why we must be decisive in choosing the right person that will lead Edo State out of this doldrum'.

Ambassador Oriaifo who said, getting our selection process right, begins with the delegates choosing the right right candidate, added that, if delegates are paid to vote for a particular aspirant, and such aspirant eventually becomes the candidate, Edo state should be prepared for another eight years of nothingness ahead, should such a candidate become the governor of Edo State.

Ambassador Odion Oriaifo, who just bagged a Masters degree, Msc, in Public Health, from the University of Scotland, is an Ambassador for Toys for Torts Foundation an America based Foundation.
