Lucktang International Limited, Brings Brewery To Esanland

A ground breaking ceremony of a Brewery, a brainchild of Lucktang International Limited to be cited in Ujiogba, Esan west local government area of Edo state, was on the 5th of August 2023 unveiled at Kilometer 10, Benin express way, Ujiogba.

Welcoming the guests, the Host, who is also the Royal Father of the Day, His Royal Highness, Solomon Ojeaga Izuware I, who thanked the Governor of Edo state for giving Ujiogba ‘a brand new road’, added that, the governor promised them and he did it. The Onojie of Ujiogba revealed that, when the investor of the proposed brewery project approached him for a land to establish the project, he guaranteed him of the cooperation of his people with a proviso that; ‘…the project should be done on terms to be mutually determined…’ The Onojie of Ujiogba said; ‘…our motivation is based on our desire for development through small and large scale industrialisation as a veritable alternative to subsistence farming which is the major occupation of our people…’ continuing, he expressed his confidence in Prince Andrew Lucky Igberease the investor, who he said, will actualize the project successfully for the benefit of Ujiogba kingdom, Esanland and Edo state at large. He used the opportunity to invite all well-meaning Esan sons and daughters to take a cue from Prince Igberease by coming home to invest for the socio economic benefit of the people.

Speaking, Prince Andrew Lucky Igberease, the investor, who made it clear that, he is not competing with anybody, said; ‘…I want to assure you that, this brewery has come to stay in Esanland. This project is just a tip of the iceberg, more are coming to Esanland. This project will take us eleven months to complete. I can assure you that, the equipment are already on ground….’ He thanked Air Vice Marshal, AVM, Okpere CFR the Chairman of Lucktang International Limited for his advice and prayers. He also appreciated the Onojie of Ujiogba in particular, for making the land available for the purpose of citing the brewery in Ujiogba, and the other Enijie for their support and goodwill.

On his part, AVM, Okpere (rtd) CFR, who thanked the Onojie of Ujiogba for making the land available for the purpose of citing the brewery in his domain, also thanked all the Enijie for their support in making Esanland safe, through the support they gave to Atanakpa Security network. He said; ‘…I speak as the person in charge of the strategic arm of the people fighting terrorism in Esanland…’

AVM, Okpere urged all the Enijie in Esanland to cooperate in ensuring that, a safe enabling environment is provided for the project to operate, as the project is not just an Ujiogba project, but an Esan project.

On his part, Major General Mathias Aifobhokhan, rtd, after giving three hearty cheers to the Enijie of Esanland, said; ‘…this is the beginning of so many things to come. This young entrepreneur will generate power in this community, he will set up an industrial fish farm… the multiplier effect of all the factories in the pipeline, will go a long way in creating employment for Esanland in general. 

Also present at the occasion, include the Enijie of Igueben, Ugbegun, Ubiaja, Ewatto and others, including Obi of Ashame, Obi of Ogodo, Obi of Olodua, the three of them, traditional rulers from Delta state, Professor Julius Ofasson, the first Professor of Finance in Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma, Chief Princess Betty Itepu, amongst others.
