EDO 2024 GUBER: Chancellor, Mudiame University, Urged To Contest

The Chancellor of Mudiame University, Irrua, Professor Sunny Eboh Eromonsele, has been called upon to contest for the position of the Governor of Edo state come 2024.

The call was made by his kinsmen in Idumabi-Irrua, when they paid him an unscheduled visit on Sunday, 25th June 2023.

Speaking through their spokesperson, Ihedenor Friday, Professor Eboh’s kinsmen expressed their gratitude, unwavering support and solidarity to Professor Eromonsele.

Idumabi community hailed Professor Eromonsele for his developmental strides in the community, in spite of the fact that, he has never held any political office nor contested for election before. This they say is highly commendable of him; and that, if he eventually contest for election, he will do much more than what he has done so far done. They therefore urged him to contest for Edo state 2024 governorship election, as that will give him the opportunity to do more for his community, Esanland and Edo state; saying from what he has so far done with his personal resources, it is clear that he has a passion for the growth and development of the people.

Responding, Professor Sunny Eboh Eromosele, expressed his happiness over his decision to establish Mudiame University in Idumabi-Irrua, as the university did not only bring Idumabi to the world, but the multiplier effect of the university in terms of employment generation, urbanization of Idumabi, etc are enormous.

With respect to the request made for him to contest for the Position of the governor of Edo state, Professor Eboh responded by saying he will consult widely before giving his consent.
